Organist
Kelley Garrett
Kelley Garrett has been organist at Memorial Presbyterian Church since 1996. She was previously director of music and organist at Normandale United Methodist Church and organist at First United Methodist Church of Andalusia. She a member of the American Guild of Organists and serves as secretary of the Montgomery chapter. She has achieved the service playing certification from the American Guild of Organists. She has a Bachelor of Arts in interdisciplinary studies from the University of Alabama. She also studied organ with Dr. Harald Rohlig at Huntingdon College.
While her passion is music for worship, Kelley also enjoys performing a wide variety of musical styles and collaborating with other musicians. She spent many years accompanying show choirs and musical theater and has worked with adult and children’s choirs as director and accompanist. Kelley enjoys planning special concerts at Memorial including an annual Musical Tribute to Veterans each November.
Kelley is also a paralegal at the law firm of Webb & Eley, P.C. in Montgomery. She is married to Frank Garrett, and they have four children and four grandchildren.
