Children's Center Director

Nancy Perkins

We are delighted to have Nancy as our Children's Center Director starting in the summer of 2011.

Nancy comes to us with over 33 years of child development and education experience. She earned her B.S. Degree from Troy University in Troy, Alabama. She has completed numerous courses in Human Development Counseling and Administrative and Management Training for Program Directors. Nancy served as an instructor at Auburn Montgomery’s Directors Certification Program teaching classes for Preschool Directors and Administrators from 1993-2007. She also developed and instructed a program for developing study skills for children with ADD and ADHD at Auburn Montgomery Youth College. Nancy has recently served 18 years as Director of a local preschool and afterschool program.

Nancy is married to Jim, and they have three daughters. She has one grandson as well as 2 dogs and 2 cats! Nancy is a member of First Baptist Church of Montgomery. One of her favorite Bible verses is, “Train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old, he will not depart from it” (Proverbs 22:6).
